About the role

As our Senior Accountant, you'll be essential in achieving FIBS's vision of helping UAE businesses across the Northern Emirates achieve compliance and sustainable growth. You'll lead and manage comprehensive accounting operations, driving technical excellence, regulatory compliance, and client satisfaction across the board.

In this role, you'll be responsible for the end-to-end delivery, operation, and management of critical accounting services that power business success for companies throughout Ajman, Sharjah, and Umm Al Quwain. You'll work closely with our tax specialists, business consultants, and HR experts to ensure that our accounting solutions directly support our clients' strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review comprehensive financial statements and management reports for diverse client portfolio
• Handle UAE VAT registrations, returns, and compliance matters with precision and timeliness
• Manage Corporate Tax filing, documentation, and regulatory compliance requirements
• Conduct thorough monthly and year-end closing procedures ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Coordinate audit preparation activities and serve as primary liaison with external auditors
• Provide strategic financial analysis and actionable recommendations to clients across various industries
• Maintain accurate and organized books of accounts using industry-standard accounting software
• Support business development initiatives through client presentations and proposal preparation
• Mentor junior accounting staff and contribute to team knowledge sharing initiatives
• Stay current with UAE accounting standards and regulatory changes affecting Northern Emirates businesses

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from accredited institution
• Minimum 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience within UAE market
• Comprehensive knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and Corporate Tax compliance requirements
• Advanced proficiency in accounting software including Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar platforms
• Expert-level Excel skills including financial modeling, pivot tables, and advanced formulas
• Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent strongly preferred
• Excellent English communication skills both written and verbal (Arabic language skills advantageous)
• Strong analytical thinking and systematic problem-solving capabilities
• Proven ability to manage multiple client accounts and meet tight deadlines consistently
• Experience with audit processes and external auditor coordination
